November Goals 💪

Hey readers,

As we getting towards the end of the year, I started to think about what I could do to stick to my resolutions, but we change a lot each month and we end up forgetting about those goals we sett.

So I decided to start early and start the change now, and setting my self monthly goal and treat my self at the end of the year.

For a while now I've been mentioning how I want to get out of my little bubble, grow, explore and take a step back.

One thing I want to change is my habits, I want to create good habits in my life so I can fulfil my goals, and get rid of the bad habits that are in the way of my achievements.

So this month:...

  • I want to spend less time on Netflix. I love Netflix and every time I'm doing something, it become a habit to me to just watch something and end up distracting my self. Lately I've been watching Friends again, because why not, they always make me laugh. I seem to watch more when my motivation is low and end up just not do anything useful. So I'm going to cut down on the time I spend on it and try to watch an episode a day, instead of bach watch tv shows.

  • I want to start to go out for walks more often and hung out more with my friends in Portugal and socialise more. I decided to start texting more of my friends and catch up with them.

  • I need to start going bed earlier so when I wake up I won't feel drained. That makes a better routine for me to do more during the day, along with growing my motivation.

  • I also want to make a timetable, with all the things I have to do each day. Get my niece's baby routine set and what I can do throughout the day, while she's a sleep.

  • Have a workout each day. I already do this but it's not as consistent as I would like. An app that's really helpful is 7 minutes work out, you have a bunch of challenges you can complete focussing in different parts of your bodies. Plus, it only takes 7 minutes.

  • One App thats been doing wonders for me in breaking bad habits is called Fabulous. This app helps you little by little on getting into new habits, like drinking water, what to eat for breakfast, for you to get the motivation you need, along with many other habits you can set yourself.

This are some of my goals for this month but what also helps to keep up with your goals, making a mind map with colourful writing and and also to share it with your friends and family, that way they can also help you to stick with it. Using a diary also helps, as you can ask yourself questions and reflect on how you progressed and why you haven't.

One advise that as been very helpful, is focus on one task for 25 minutes with no distractions, then take only a 5 minute break, if the task isn't finished go back to it for another 25 minutes, and then have another 5 minute break. Only have three 5 minute breaks and then change it to 10, and then 15 and so on. Having a timer on your phone helps but don't make a distraction out of it, by keep looking at the clock.
