Hey readers, It's official, I am not an au pair anymore. It feels so strange not being with my host family, it comes as a surprise to me how I already missed them. Being an au pair was an experience like no other, I learn so much more about myself, I got to express myself differently than before, my thoughts feel more organised and I know I mention this before, but I meet so many amazing people and made so many fun memories that I will forever cherish. Starting with all the positive things that happen soon as I became an Au pair was that I got to work and travel and still get free accommodation with my host family. My host family made me feel comfortable and safe at home, my host kids were very well educated and they all respected me and also gave me advice in life situations and were very supported when my phone got stolen. They gave me freedom and were there for me if I needed anything. I appreciated them and they me, I loved how every Thursday I got to cook with the kids and make something new. They were also very organised and always told me when plans changed or situations. Every time I would travel around Spain, they would always recommend places to go and not to, they were also very happy sharing their experiences. I got to learn more about their culture and progress in my Spanish. It wasn't a lot of hours I was working, as you guys know if you watch my vlogs, but within the hours I worked me, and the kids just played games and make funny musiclys, videos and even do exercise. I don't know if they know this, but they gave me more support then they realise, they understood I was young, they respected me, understood I was young and I really felt like I was part of their family. I loved the fact they came to me, for help to find a new au pair because I was leaving, I loved helped them with whatever they need but they never asked for much. Now, I don't have any negatives of my experience being an Au pair, I just wished made I could of spending more time with them, obviously, me getting my phone stolen wasn't ideal but my host family was very supportive, and they never let me down or much less treated me wrong. I know there are a lot of Au pairs that are not always happy with the families or with certain situations, but Smaller earth couldn't have matched me to any better family than the one I received. I want to thank Smaller earth and my host family as you are all wonderful and you made my experience the best it could be. I won't ever forget all you did for me.
So, guys, this is just a short overall au pair experience, I know I still haven't posted anything, but I am working on it. I hope this review is somewhat useful if you do want to be an Au pair and are not sure. I 100% thing is worth it and if you guys have that opportunity, take that change.
