Hey readers,
Because of someones mistake with a pilots holiday, I was close to not go back to England to remove my braces!!!!!
When I plan my travels, I had to include all important appointments and dates to come back and change clothes.
For weeks I was excited to come back and see everyone but specially getting my braces off and eat what I can!
If you a planner like me and Ryanair cancelled your flight one week before, I bet you would panic like I did, wondering why would they do this?!
I obviously called Ryanair and they gave me two alternatives, 1 get a refund, 2 change the date. However I couldn't change the date as that was important for me to come back to my work, so they said they had flight from faro that would go to London Stansted, but the thing was, that I was in Lisbon.
I thought about it and look at the prices to get to faro from Lisbon and lucky I got a ticket with young adults discount that was only 17€.
I called Ryanair back and what I couldn't believe is that the lady on the phone expected me to pay extra for the flight! Well that annoyed me as they were the ones that cancelled my flight! Soon as I made that point clear to her, she then changed my flight for free.
I was pretty annoyed at the whole situation and tired from all the travel. Waking up early get on a 3 hours train ride, 15 minute bus ride and 3h plane ride and then 1h45m train ride.
Plus I was wearing a dress and sandals all day and soon as I get into Peterborough it starts to rain !!! Thank God I had my boots and that my sister picked me up.
We went for dinner at a place called turtle bay.
Didn't eat much as I was feeling really tired and travel sick.
Then I finally went and TRIED to surprise my boyfriend but it was pretty much a fail, soon as my sister parked the car, he saw us through the window! I will surprise him one day!
So I removed my braces in the next day and I was happy that I made my appointment.
A couple days later, Ryanair's CEO emailed me apologising for this incident and gave me a 80€ voucher, which I really appreciate as I'm going to travel throughout the year 😊
I think everyone makes mistakes even Ryanair, yes that was a huge mistake and ruined people's plans but I'm sure they will continue to deliver a great service.
Did this ever happen to you?
Thank you for reading and don't forget to comment 😘
